Government extended partial lockdown, curfew, by 30 days

Due to increasing new cases of Covid _ 2019 in Kenya, partial lockdown in Nairobi, Mandera and Mombasa was extended for 30 days with effect from 07/06/2020, according to the President Uhuru Kenyatta, the country  was not ready yet to fully open up, but adjust  curfew hours to 9pm from 7pm earlier, and end at 4am.

Addressing the nation from State House, Nairobi on Saturday, President Uhuru Kenyatta said relaxing measures by 20 per cent would lead to 200,000 new infections and 30,000 deaths by December.


Confirmed Covid-19 case load in Kenya surpassed the 2000 Mark on 1st of June 2020. Each of us has a role to play, adopting responsible social behaviors to break the transmission chain of the virus is of vital importance.  We must therefore, continue to strictly observe the containment measures and obey the advisories issued by the Government.
